He comes with western winds
With evening's wandering airs
With that clear dusk of heaven
That brings the thickest stars
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn
The night is darkening round me,
The wild winds coldly blow;
But a tyrant spell has bound me,
And I cannot, cannot go
Clouds beyond clouds above me,
Wastes beyond wastes below;
But nothing drear can move me,
I will not, cannot go
Here with my knee upon thy stone
I bid adieu to feelings gone
I leave with thee my tears and pain
And rush into the world again
Oh come again what chains withhold
The steps that used so fleet to be
Come leave thy dwelling dark and cold
Once more visit me
Was it with the fields of green
Blowing flower and budding tree
With summer heaven serene
That thou didst visit me
No 'twas not the flowery plain
No 'twas not the fragrant air
Summer skies will comes again
But thou will not be there
Here with my knee upon thy stone
I bid adieu to feelings gone
I leave with thee my tears and pain
And rush into the world again
Oh come again what chains withhold
The steps that used so fleet to be
Come leave thy dwelling dark and cold
Once more visit me
Was it with the fields of green
Blowing flower and budding tree
With summer heaven serene
That thou didst visit me
No 'twas not the flowery plain
No 'twas not the fragrant air
Summer skies will comes again
But thou will not be there
He comes with western winds
With evening's wandering airs
With that clear dusk of heaven
That brings the thickest stars
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn
Winds take a pensive tone
Stars a tender fire
Visions rise and change
That kill with desire
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn to fly
Broken bird you burn

"...as musicians Becky Wilkie and Sophie Galpin whipping up emotion playing an original and often haunting score from Alexandra Faye Braithwaite." - Quays Life ****

As you might guess from the title, this is strange and eerie synth music meant to conjure a mystical film where all is not what it seems. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 14, 2023
